Gov Okpebholo Fulfills Promise, Pays Edo Workers “13th Month” Salary

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has fulfilled one of his promises made to Edo State workers as he paid the 13th month salary to spice up the festive period for the workers.

The governor in previous engagements have expressed the readiness of his administration to make welfare of Edo State workers a priority saying he is determined to pay Edo State workers as at when due monthly.

Gov. Okpebholo who was sworn in on the 12th of November, 2024 paid Civil and Public servants in the State on the 27th of November amidst criticism by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) telling workers in the State that they will not get their salaries on time.

“Okpebholo is not an accidental governor but he came prepared for governance as such within two weeks of assuming office as governor of Edo State fulfill his promises to Edo State workers as he paid their November salaries without any delay,” a civil servant and beneficiary of the governor’s benevolent said.

The head of service, HOS Anthony Okungbowa who commended the State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for the prompt payment of November salaries, assured the work force that His Excellency has also approved the payment of 13th months salaries.

He noted that the governor is doing this to serve as motivation for workers as they are ready to put in their best collaborating with the present administration to ensure growth and development.

Matching words with actions, governor Okpebholo paid civil and public servants their 13th month salary on the 29th of December, 2024 to the delight of Edo State workers.
