Okpebholo Engineers Bold Reforms, Restores Accessibility to Justice in Edo Judiciary

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo has announced the nomination of four new Commissioner-Designates.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, on Wednesday, in Benin.

The new commissioner-designates include Dr Jerry Uwangue, Mr Kenneth Ihensekhien, Mr Usenbo Ehigie, and Mr John Akhigbe Sunday.

According to Ikhilor, the names of the new commissioner-designates will be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.

He explained that Uwangue is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM) services.

He added that Nwangue is the Managing Director/CEO of J&G Engineering and Construction Services Ltd., and has received several awards for his outstanding achievements in business and local content development.

”Ihensekhien, (Ph.D), is a veteran lawyer, politician, and public administrator with a rich history of service to the state.

”He has held various positions, including Minority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Commissioner for Youth & Sports, and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor.

”Mr Ehigie is a highly skilled legal practitioner and knowledge management professional with over 20 years of cross-sector experience.

”He has served as General Manager, Regulatory Compliance at FGR Energy Services and as Senior Legislative Aide to the National Assembly.

”Sunday is a respected technocrat and community development advocate who has been actively involved in initiatives promoting youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and civic participation in governance.

He is recognized for his commitment to public service and grassroots development,” the secretary to Edo Government said.

He added that after confirmation by the State House of Assembly, the appointments were expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the state’s administration, driving growth and development in various sectors. (NAN)
