The Mutual Union of Tiv in America (MUTA), a pressure group, has urged the Federal Government to find permanent solutions to wanton destruction of lives and property in Nigeria.
The union made the call in a statement signed by its President and Secretary, Messrs Joseph Unongo and David Agum, respectively on Friday in Abuja.
“We condemn the attacks on innocent Nigerians and the wanton destruction of lives and property by marauding terrorists
and mercenaries in any guise.
“We express our solidarity with the good people of Benue and other communities across Nigeria that are suffering these
violent attacks,” the statement said.
The statement, however, commended individuals, NGOs and other organisations that had been providing succour to victims of the attacks.
