Gunmen Kidnap 4 Sahara Energy Workers in Delta

*Abductors of businessman,demand N10m ransom

Unknown gunmen Thursday morning abducted four workers with Sahara Energy, an oil Servicing Company located at Ajoki community behind Koko, Headquarters of Warri North council area of Delta State.

The workers were abducted at the Akpakoka/Ajoki water side by well armed gunmen in a fast moving speed boat and driven to an unknown destination just as the identities of the kidnapped persons remain uncertain as at the time of filing this story.
The kidnappers of the four workers have not opened communications lines with anybody, even as fear of the unknown has gripped residents of the Port town who appealed to Governor Ifeayin Okowa to come to their rescue by increasing security presence to protect lives in the community.‎

Meanwhile,  abductors who kidnapped a Koko-based businessman, Daniel Obayendo, on Monday have demanded a ransom of N10million.

Mr. Daniel Obayendo, an oil and gas businessman is from the Olomu stock in Koko community and his whereabouts is still unknown just as frantic efforts are on to secure his safe release from the kidnappers’ den.

Police authorities in Koko declined to comment on the rampant cases of kidnapping in the town but stated that they are on top of the situation and would soon secure the release of all kidnapped persons as investigation has been intensified.
