Gunmen Kidnap Traditional Ruler, 2 Others in Delta State

A six-man kidnap gang in the early hours of Friday stormed Ebu community in Oshimili North local Government Area of Delta State and Kidnapped the traditional ruler of the community, HRM Paul Odilila Opili, and two others and  zoomed into an unknown destination.
It was gathered that the kidnappers forced the royal father into a Toyota Corolla Car and a bus they came with after shooting sporadically into the thin air as well as beating up those who tried to resist them from carrying out the kidnap of their king.
An eyewitness, Tony Osigagu, said the kidnappers came in two vehicles and forced their victims into and zoomed into thin air.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed that the kidnap of the traditional ruler and two others, said the police were on the trail of the suspects adding that policemen have been drafted to the community to keep eyes on the area.
DSP Andrew Aniamaka said: “kidnappers numbering over six stormed Ebu community and kidnapped the traditional ruler and two others, the police are working hard to ensure the release of the victims, the police will do its best to ensure they are released unhurt.”
As at the time of the filling this report, palpable tension and fear of the unknown had unsettled the community as the residents were  crying for help as well as begging for the kidnappers to release their king and others.
