The Presidency has criticised those opposed to President Bola Tinubu’s administration, accusing them of refusing to acknowledge what it described as progress recorded under the government.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made the statement in a post on social media.
Onanuga said the administration’s reforms had begun to produce results despite the difficulties associated with implementing them.
He accused critics of focusing on the negative aspects of the government’s policies while ignoring what he described as improvements in the country.
The presidential aide argued that the government had made progress in areas including economic reforms and efforts to reposition the Nigerian economy.
He said the administration remained committed to its reform agenda despite criticism from opposition figures and other detractors.
Onanuga’s comments come amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with opposition parties and political figures stepping up criticism of the Tinubu administration.
The Presidency has repeatedly defended Tinubu’s policies, particularly the economic reforms introduced since he assumed office in May 2023.
