Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has claimed that Victor Osimhen is still waiting for a move to Chelsea.
According to the former Nigerian player, Osimhen still has options despite transfer rumours to Chelsea this summer.
Recall that Chelsea was in talks to sign Osimhen in the final stages of the previous summer transfer window.
However, the Premier League west London club were unable to agree a deal with Napoli for the Super Eagles striker.
Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old has been impressive in Turkey, scoring 28 goals in 32 appearances for Galatasaray so far.
Nevertheless, Chelsea remain in the market for a new striker this summer.
The Blues are considering Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, who has a £30 million relegation release clause in his deal, but Obi Mikel wants Osimhen at Chelsea.
“He has options, even now when I talk to him he has options, loads of options,” Mikel told The Obi One Podcast.
He added, “I hope it happens because I can see great things happening. I can see a great partnership happening. I can see a player coming in and becoming a massive legend for this football club.”
