Hensmor: ‘Maritime University’s Dream Realised’

The recent groundbreaking ceremony of the Maritime University and NIMASA Shipyard and  Dockyard in Kurutie and Okerenko communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri Southwest Local Government of Delta State have been described as  worthy landmarks and  dreams come true for Nigerians and the Niger Delta in particular.
In a press statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Prince (Dr.) H.H Omorodion, described the events as  things of personal delight.
He said: “As a foremost Maritime operator and one who was given recognition many years ago by the Federal Government to train cadets for the maritime Industry, it is  a thing of personal delight and l see it as a dream come true”
He further described the establishment of the university as one that would act as catalyst for the growth of the maritime industry, kick start the economic development of the Gbaramatu kingdom, improve  the economy of  Delta State, while also growing the Maritime sector in Nigeria.
Prince Omorodion, who is also the Odunanoba of Benin Kingdom, particularly commended President Goodluck  Jonathan, for his transformation agenda and the way he is piloting the affairs of state.
He also saluted the Minister of Transport for mid-wifing the birth of the university, the D-G, NIMASA for his vision and the High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) for his tireless efforts in developing the Niger Delta.
