Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has criticised individuals who oppose the presence of US troops in Nigeria.
Sani stated this in a statement posted on his verified X account on Sunday.
He was reacting to the first batch of American troops deployed to Nigeria to combat the country’s insecurity.
Three United States military aircraft have landed at the Nigerian Air Force base in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Reacting, the former lawmaker said, “Those who are not happy with the presence of the American troops helping our troops to fight terrorists should tell the country they love or trust to send their troops or weapons to help us fight the evil forces in our country.
“Countries that are only sympathising with us or issuing statements after killings or kidnappings are of no use to us at this material time.”
