Data breach: Gov Okpebholo Orders Urgent Review of Edo e-Governance Platform

*Monday Okpebholo

The Office of the Governor of Edo State says its attention has been drawn to unauthorized statements being issued by Mr. John Mayaki, a former Chief Press Secretary to the immediate-past Governor of the state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

According to Mr. Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to incumbent Governor Monday Okpebholo, “these unauthorized statements do not reflect the official position of the Governor’s Office on any matter and should be disregarded.”

“Mr. Mayaki, as a citizen of Nigeria, has the right to express his views on any matter. However, his personal views should not be attributed to Governor Okpebholo.”

“The Governor’s official spokespersons have been duly appointed and announced by Senator Monday Okpebholo. They can be reached through their verified contact information,” Itua noted.
