Former Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ihedioha, also a former speaker of the House of representatives, blamed his resignation on the inability of the Party to carry out what he called internal reforms.
He also lamented that, at various times, he made efforts to offer his personal advice which ‘regrettably’ did not work out.
In the letter, addressed to the Chairman, PDP Ubutu Ward, Aboh-Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Ihedioha said it was sad that the PDP was no longer able to obey its own rules neither is it able any longer to offer credible opposition.
He lamented that, in spite of his contribution to the party from inception in 1998 and a party which he had also found pride to say he was a member, was on the verge of losing all that made it look thick.
