The 2019 Lagos International Trade Fair may have come and gone but the memories still linger on.
The annual event which was organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry started on Friday 1st November and ended on Sunday 10th, November 2019.
The events, which brought over 500,000 people together has left manufacturers, service providers and customers with smiles on their faces as it was a win-win situation for them and the Mountain of Fire and Miracles ministries popularly known as MFM wasn’t left out in the excitement and fulfilment.
According to the Co-ordinators of MFM stand at the trade fair, Evangelists Funmi Amao and Edith Udechukwu thr trade fair outreach was a fulfilment of the great commission given to Christians by Jesus Christ with the aim of winning souls.
One of the co-ordinators Funmi Amao in her words said, “In 2007, the year was declared as a year of worldwide evangelism in MFM by the General Overseer, Dr. D.K Olukoya, and as such, the   trade fair outreach was one of the strategies and avenues of winning souls for Christ. And over the years, the testimonies and turn out have been tremendous. We decided to choose trade fair due to the influx of people the fair pulls yearly.
The trade fair is a place of exchange of values, services and more and what we are offering is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to populate the Kingdom of God and to depopulate the kingdom of darkness which is one of our mission and vision of the church.”
In the course of this year’s outreach, a man with the intention of committing suicide came to the stand for counselling, by the grace and mercy of God, he had a change of heart and we are following up on his case.
“We want to appreciate God for giving the General Overseer’s vision such as this, through which we’ve been reaching out to people.”
When asked how converts are followed up, Amao said, “Before the programme ended we’ve already started following up on converts. “Details of converts were sent to the office daily for compilation and messages are sent to them as well. “And now that the outreach is over, we have programmes lined up for them. One of such is an annual evangelism programme strictly meant for new converts.
“In this concluded outreach, some of the ministries involved were Evangelism, G.O’s Books, Tape ministry, Counselling, Visitation and Follow-up, Praise and Worship Team, Audio Team, Video Team and more. “But this year, the organisers of the  Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave instruction that no loudspeakers would be allowed that’s why we didn’t have Praise and worship sessions this year.
“Previous years, we played the G.O’s messages and prophetic vitamins and people were rushed to the stand when the start manifesting.
“But in all, we were able to reach out to people as our team moved round the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) to evangelise to people, share tracts and minister when the need arose.
This has been a yearly outreach for us since 2007, the only year we didn’t have this outreach was in 2014 during the Ebola scare in Lagos and people called the General Overseer to say that MFM stand was not seen during the trade fair.
“By the grace of God, if Jesus tarries in His coming, the programme will continue yearly as there is a great joy for a soul that is won in heaven”. Amao concluded.
