Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun David, also known as Vector Tha Viper, has disclosed that his mother is linked to renowned singer Stephen Oladipupo Olaore Owomoyela, aka Orlando Owoh.
He disclosed this while responding to a viral tweet asking people to share great information about their family history or ancestors.
“Tell us something great about your family history or ancestors,” an X user, @Yorubaness, solicited.
Joining the trend, Vector wrote, “My mum and Orlando Owoh are related.”
Many fans were excited by his revelation, with others asking him to listen to some of the late music legend’s works.
Orlando Owoh was a Nigerian highlife musician who started his career as a drummer with the Kola Ogunmola Theatre Group in 1958.
In 1960, he formed Dr. Orlando Owoh and His Omimah Band. Over the course of his forty-year musical career, he rose to prominence as a proponent of highlife music.
