The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) School of Post Graduate Studies (PGS), Kaduna, is holding a two-day International Conference on Defence, Security and Sustainable Development in Africa.
It’s taking place at JN Garba Hall, NDA PGS, Ribadu Cantonment, Abuja, starting today.
The theme of the conference is “Defence, Security and Sustainable Development in Africa: Emerging Challenges and Responses.”, which will be chaired by Professor Mahmud Yakubu, Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, Nigeria.
He’s to be represented by Professor Munzali Jibril, while Professor Charles Abiodun Alao, Director, Centre for African Leadership, King’s College, London is the Keynote Speaker.
The conference will entail paper presentations, investiture of Major General IM Yusuf, Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy with the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and conferment of the membership of the SPSP on deserving Officer Cadets and Post Graduate students of the NDA PGS.
The TETFUND Centre for Excellence in Early Warming Studies, a partnership platform of the University of Ibadan and the NDA, panel sessions and issuance of a Communiqué.
The presenters, panel chairs, discussants and and participants are drawn from various parts of Nigeria and other countries of the world.
