‎The governor had at the occasion pledged his administration’s commitment to inject funds for infrastructural and manpower development of NDU in order to attract reputable lecturers to the institution.

In an interview with newsmen at the Government House Yenagoa, Obuebite noted that the with the commitment of the state chief executive NDU will soon be transformed into a global institution that will compete favorably with other universities across the world.

He described Dickson as a lover of education and an advocate of sound academic knowledge and urged the management  of the university to reciprocate the gesture by formulating  policies to drive the governor’s vision.

Hon. Obuebite also tasked students of NDU to continue to be good ambassadors as well as take advantage of the opportunities before them in order to secure their future and equally shun all forms of social vices.

According to him, there is every reason to believe now that before the end of the second term of Dickson the NDU will not only be self sufficient but also serve as an additional revenue earner for the government.
