Nigerian Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru and his deputy, Bello Matawalle, are visiting the North East in company with the entire service chiefs
The ministers, who came with the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa and all the service chiefs in the country, would address troops at the front line and specific formations in the theatre.
While visiting Governor Babagana Zulum, the minister (Badaru) said he was “here to see and to hear what is happening in the front line in the fight against terrorism”.
He also expressed desires that in no distance future residents in the theatre will see the end of the war.
“Your excellency it’s my hope that as soon as this war ends, we would be expected to go into normal life in this theatre and the entire country.
” We are going to see our troops and their commanders. We will hear from them and will appreciate their challenges. for being there and taking the bullets for us.
“We appreciate all the support you have been rendering for our troops in the theatre of war. Your excellency we are indeed very grateful. Thank you.”
