Popular comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, also known as AY, has expressed concern over ridiculous service charges by Nigerian commercial banks.

He questioned how Nigerian banks can report trillions of Naira in profits each quarter, even amid a struggling economy.

The actor noted that some of the service fees are peculiar to Nigeria, stressing that they need to be challenged.

On his X handle, AY wrote, “Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy? The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria. Why is that? #BankingFees #Nigeria #Transparency #Shalom”
