The Chief Press Secretary to Abia State governor, Mr. Godwin Adindu, has notified all radio stations and electronic media channels in the state to withdraw all praise-singing jingles that are eulogizing the name and person of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, saying that the governor is not interested in such things.
Adindu also called on individuals and political groups who meant well for the governor and are expressing  their love and satisfaction through jingles and music to hold their peace as the governor has moved on to another level of work and service delivery to the people.
He also advised jingle producers and itinerant CD marketers to stop producing or playing  jingles that eulogize the  name of the governor to high heavens, but to deploy their energy to  other meaningful endeavour that will add values to the state.
Adindu disclosed that part of the vision of the governor is to chart a new course for the state and this involves jettisoning some old ways that do not add to governance, adding that the campaign and the elections are over and that it is now time for governance and service to the people which are the major preoccupation of Governor Ikpeazu for now.
While disclosing that the governor has started work in earnest, Adindu said it is the vision of  the governor that his reputation in government will not be a media creation but will flow naturally from his capacity for work, service and performance and that the governor is set to achieve these three values.
He further informed the public that what the governor require of them now is their understanding, support and cooperation with government towards the successful   execution of the ongoing projects in Aba and other parts of the state and not praise-singing.
