According to him, the Commission has reconstructed Police barracks destroyed by the insurgents in Garkida town, Adamawa state and also awarded contract for the modernisation of Police stations in Konduga and Bama in Borno state to fast track restoration of civil authority.

The Managing Director promised to consider some of the additional demands forwarded by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Nasir Gwarzo, noted that the Police needed more support from governmental and non governmental organisations to effectively secure the country.
