The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has held a security summit in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, preparatory to the 2023 general elections.

NSCDC Commandant in Oyo State, Mr Michael Adaralewa, stated in Ibadan on Wednesday that the summit was organised to educate the public on peaceful conduct of elections for the protection of lives and property.

According to him, the protection of lives and property is the responsibility of all and should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone.

The Safe Harbour International, an NGO, donated a refurbished operational vehicle to the NSCDC at the summit.
