OBITUARY | Alex Anozie, Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, is Dead | METROWATCH

The Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Dr. Alex Anozie is dead. Anozie died at the age of 74 on Tuesday at his Ososami residence in Ibadan.

It was gathered that the remains of the deceased have been taken to his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State for final burial.

He was until his death the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CONAC Optical company, Ibadan.

The Personal Assistant to the deceased, Mr Samuel Ule, confirmed his death.

He told reporters that Anozie had some weaknesses in his body, and walked himself to Fumbell Diagnostic Centre to conduct test on Monday morning.

“The result of the test was to come out today, but sadly we were shocked to hear that he slept and could not wake up from his sleep,” he disclosed.

Ule said that the deceased lived his life in Ibadan and contributed immensely to the economic growth of the ancient town.
