Ahead of 2019 poll, the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in a cabinet reshuffle, on Thursday relieved two of his commissioners of their appointments over alleged poor performance while four others were redeployed for sundry reasons too.

In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Festus Ovie Agas, a copy made available to our reporter, the government said that the affected commissioners: Dr. Nicholas Azinge, (health), and Mr. Dan Okenyi (culture and tourism) were sacked for alleged incompetence and maladministration.

The government added in the statement  that another commissioner Asupa Fortete, (Directorate of Youth Development) was moved to urban renewal, while another, Karo Illolo, was redeployed to the Directorate of Youth Development.

Similarly, Bright Edejero, former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, was moved to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

It was however gathered that at the last Exco Meeting, Dr. Okowa was said to have hinted of  a cabinet reshuffle, a development  that has created serious apprehension.
