Okpebholo Submits Six Commissioner Nominees to Edo Assembly for Confirmation

Data breach: Gov Okpebholo Orders Urgent Review of Edo e-Governance Platform

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has forwarded a list of six (6) commissioner nominees to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The names of the commissioner designates were contained in a letter addressed to the speaker of the house by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Umar Musa khilor, dated 7th January.

The nominees include:
1. Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi
2. ⁠Dr. Paddy Iyamu
3. ⁠Hon. Paul Ohonbamu
4. ⁠Hon. Washington Osifo
5. ⁠Sir Lucky Eseigbe
6. ⁠Andrew Ijegbai

The nominees are expected to undergo screening on a later date to be determined by the PDP-dominated house of assembly.

Once confirmed, the nominees will assume roles in the State Executive Council to aid governance and policy implementation.

Edo State House of Assembly had in November 2024 confirmed two commissioner nominees including health and finance, and 20 special advisers for Gov. Okpebholo.
