Alvaro Morata’s departure from Galatasaray is being delayed by the club’s attempt to sign Victor Osimhen on a permanent basis.

Como have almost reached an agreement for Morata to depart the Turkish champions.

However, the Spaniard will not be allowed to leave Istanbul until the club is ready to sign a striker.

Galatasaray are waiting to wrap up the transfer of Osimhen from Napoli, before allowing the Spaniard depart.

This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday night.

Romano tweeted: “Álvaro Morata will become new Como player from AC Milan… as soon as Victor Osimhen re-joins Galatasaray.

“The condition for Gala to break Morata loan deal and send him back to Italy is new striker to join.

“And Osimhen’s currently one step away from Gala return.”
