Osun monarch, Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland is dead

The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, has joined his ancestors.

In a short tribute issued by the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Olayinka Fasuyi disclosed that the monarch joined his ancestors on Wednesday after a brief illness.

Oba Adekunle ascended the throne on February 20, 1982, from the Aromolaran family, and his reign spanned 42 years.

It was gathered that security operatives have been stationed in the palace, including uniformed policemen and Operatives of the DSS.
