Oyo ex-governor, Olunloyo Dies at 89

A former governor of Oyo State, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo is dead.

Olunloyo, the first person to rule Ibadan as governor, died in the early hours of Sunday.

He died about three months to his 90th birthday.

Olunloyo ruled the old Oyo State between October and December 1983.

Sources close to the family noted that he has batting with old age related ailments for the last few weeks.

The source close to the family noted that the family will soon announce the burial plans.
