The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday said the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) is unsettled and highly apprehensive following the increasing demand by the British parliamentarians for an enquiry into their links with the insurgency and violence ravaging Nigeria.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Olisa Metuh, in a statement, said his Party “finds it very curious that the statement by the APC calling for intentional enquiry to unravel the sponsors of terrorism in the country is coming less than one week after an inquest into its links with insurgency was tabled before the British Parliament.”
Metuh said the statement of the APC  betrays a party that has become unsettled and highly apprehensive following the increasing demand by the British parliamentarians for an enquiry into their links with the insurgency and violence ravaging our dear nation.

“We ask, is the APC in a desperate move to pre-empt the British Parliament for fear of indictment or are they seeking to promote an orchestrated inquest to exonerate themselves”.

The PDP urged Nigerians to see beyond the surface and continue to be at alert. “We urge Nigerians to see beyond the surface, to continue to be alert and note the actions of Party (APC) and their efforts to frustrate genuine fight against insurgency and terrorism in our country”.
