A PDP chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, has died.
Orbih, a prominent ally of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, reportedly died on Monday, August 31, 2026.
His death was announced by the Orbih family in a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, who described his passing as a painful loss and said the family had submitted to the will of God.
The late PDP chieftain is survived by his wife, Florence Orbih; his children, Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr Mildred Omonemi Orbih; as well as his siblings and other members of his extended family.
The family appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they mourn the loss.
It added that details of his funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
