Port Harcourt Int’l Airport on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 gave out several gift items to children who travelled by the airport in celebration of Christmas and New year.
The event, which was sponsored by the Federal Airport Authority (FAAN), was a demonstration of love and charity in line with the dictates of Christmas.
One of the staff of the Public Affairs/Communication department who pleaded anonymity said the gesture was one of the ways FAAN appreciates airport users all over the federation.
He also said that same event took place in Abuja, Lagos and Kano airports on Monday, Dec.23, 2019.
Responding to the gesture, parents and guardians to beneficiaries of the bumper gift items applauded FAAN for several innovations it had put in place to improve on airport facilities across the country.
They praised the management of Port Harcourt Int’l Airport for maintaining a high level of serenity at the airport.
Mrs Jane Amie, mother of four, who also benefited from the gesture, thanked the management of the airport especially for maintaining order and improving on the sanitary condition of the facility.
“I thought this airport would have been crowded and rowdy as it used to be especially on the 24th of Dec. that’s why we chose to fly early enough.
“On the contrary, I saw everywhere calm and well organized, I think the management did a lot of planning and work to achieve this laudable gesture and I urge them to sustain this.
“For our children traveling by the Port Harcourt airport today, these bags of fabulous gift items presented by Santa Claus himself courtesy of FAAN is the greatest joy for them and as parents we appreciate FAAN for this,” Mrs Jane Amie said.
