Rivers crisis: Wike Denies Godfatherism, Claims Fubara Never Knelt Before Him

Rivers State Governor, Sim Fabura and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has denied accusations of playing godfatherism over the Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara.

Wike also refuted claims that Fubara had knelt before him in a plea.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Wike rejected the idea of exerting control over Fubara, asserting that he has distanced himself from the governor’s affairs.

Wike stated, “What is the meaning of godfatherism? Have I not left Fubara alone? What did he kneel down to me for? Never, he did not kneel down for me, what offense did he commit?
