South Africa’s net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to 41.923 billion dollars in February from 42.145 billion dollars in January, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Friday.
According to the data, Gross reserves were also down slightly at 47.19 billion dollars from 47.611 billion dollars.
The data showed that the forward position, which represented the country’s central bank’s unsettled or swap transactions, rose to 2.771 billion dollars from 2.632 billion dollars.
