The Aare Atunluse Omoluwabi Oodua Worldwide, Chief Muritala Audu, has pledged unwavering solidarity of Yorubas to the Nigerian Armed Forces to tackle insecurity in the nation.

Audu, also an APC Chieftain in Ogun, gave the promise, in a statement on Monday in Lagos, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, at the Defense Headquarters in Abuja.

The Yoruba titled holder called upon fellow Nigerians to rally behind the armed forces in their efforts to enhance national security and tackle the myriad forces and acts that contribute to insecurity.

Audu, who noted that the meeting was marked by a warm reception, said that it underscored the importance of building civil relationships to address Nigeria’s security challenges.

According to him, the purpose of the visit was to express profound appreciation for the recent appointment Musa by President Bola Tinubu as the new Chief of Defense Staff.

Commended the military chief for the strides since appointment, the Aare assured Musa of support from the Yorubas.

Audu applauded the chief of defense staff for the remarkable Military-Community engagement that had been witnessed in recent times.

He cited the example of the military’s professional and civil engagement, which had contributed to the promotion of harmonious relationships with various communities, as well as the restoration of orderliness in South Kaduna.

Audu expressed his belief that the recent initiatives aimed at fostering a deeper connection between the military and communities across the country would pave the way for increased information sharing.

“This, in turn, will play a pivotal role in preventing and mitigating incidents of insecurity in the nation,” he said.

Audu emphasised the critical importance of Nigerians extending their utmost cooperation to the military.

He underscored that this collaboration had become essential for the country to reap the dividends of democracy and, was in line with the spirit of his party’s slogan, “Make Nigeria Great Again.”

Audu said that the visit served as a testament to the unity and collective effort required to address the security concerns facing Nigeria.

“It is a resounding call for Nigerians to stand together and support the nation’s military in their mission to ensure the safety and prosperity of all citizens.

“This visit signifies my unwavering commitment and determination to forge a path toward a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.

“As we look ahead, our message serves as a rallying cry for all Nigerians to join hands and contribute to the nation’s progress.

“Together, we can aspire to a future where the promise of democracy is fully realised, and Nigeria truly becomes great,” he added.
