Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the Sept 21 election in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, says Chief Gabriel Igbinedion is ‘God-sent to the good people of Edo state’
Okpebholo said this in a birthday message he personally signed and sent to Chief Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, who turned 90 today.
Describing the nonagenarian as the ‘Lion of Okada’, Okpebholo said: ‘We celebrate you today on your remarkable 90th birthday! We pray that God will continue to bless you in good health and fill your household with joy and happiness.”

Sir, there is no doubt that you have engraved your name in the sands of time with your landmark achievements by pioneering the first indigenous motor assembly plant, first private airline, first private University, and venturing into other sectors like banking, and broadcasting; all in your fatherland.
We will not also forget your philanthropy nor your role in the creation of our dear Edo State and your continuous contributions to its development.
You are God-sent to the good people of Edo State, Nigeria, and indeed humanity in general.
