Atalanta has proposed a new contract that would keep Ademola Lookman at the Gewiss Stadium until at least 2027.

According to Bergamo & Sports’ Luciano Rota, La Dea wants to double Lookman’s salary to stave off attention from European big guns.

The reigning UEFA Europa League champions now want to pay him €3.5 million annually.

The 27-year-old reportedly agreed to personal terms with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

However, Atalanta vetoed the move.

Following his good start to the 2024/25 season, Lookman is anticipated to be courted again by Europe’s top clubs next summer.

The Nigerian finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or and is a top contender for CAF Men’s Player of the Year.

Lookman, who signed for Atalanta from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in 2022, has two years left on his deal.
