The National Consultative Conference of Education Leaders on strategic plans of action for curbing cultism, sex-for-grade and sexual abuse in educational institutions is scheduled to hold from Monday 9th to Friday 13th December 2019 at Green Minds Hotel Utako, Abuja. The Conference, supported and facilitated by Federal Ministry of Education, is designed to produce plans to stop the spread of cultism to primary and secondary schools. It is the second phase of the second phase of the Conference held in Sept. 2019 which produced the 20-Point Marshal Plan of Action for Eradicating Exam Malpractice.
Among other high impact papers on administrative, legal, information management and inclusive inter-institutional frameworks, the Confab will feature special presentations on case study and impact assessment of implementation of Federal Government 1999 ultimatum to Heads of Tertiary Institutions to eradicate cultism within three months in their Campuses or lose their jobs and on warning signs of cultism in primary and secondary schools which parents, teachers, counselors, educational administrators and supervisors should look out for.
The Conference will articulate specific roles and responsibilities for education Leaders including: Governing Councils; Heads of Institutions; Chief Security Officers; Legislators; Judicial Officers; Law Enforcement Agencies; Principal Officers in Federal, State and Local Government Education Ministries and Agencies; Education Secretaries; Principal Officers of Staff and Student Union, PTAs, Faith Based Organizations and critical Stakeholders. The conference fee is N59,000 (fifty nine thousand naira) to cover conference papers, books, materials, bag, folder, lunch and coffee breaks, certificate.
