The lady was said to be on her way home to Kagoro where she comes from when she disembarked the commercial vehicle like the other passengers to snack herself at a nearby eatery.

It was while at the eatery that she and her co-passengers were accosted and rounded up briskly by the bandits who surrounded them very quickly before they escaped.

But one lady, name withheld, also who had luck on her side and escaped before they surrounded the place, told the family of the abducted lady that she was a co- passenger in the vehicle but her instincts told her to leave the vicinity when she saw them coming.

Hear her: “At the eatery/beer parlour, a group of navy personnel were also in their corner celebrating one of their own who had a reason to celebrate so they were all happy drinking and eating in their mufti not knowing that these men approaching had weapons inside their dresses.

“In one swoop almost all the passengers who had dropped to ease themselves and eat something were rounded up by the bandits who appeared from nowhere armed.

” They equally rounded up the suspected navy personnel in mufti who were enjoying themselves out in the eatery.” said the source believed to be as police officer.

A second source close to this reporter who is a relative to the abducted lady said,” we got to know about the incident when the police woman also in mufti informed us of how she escaped when she saw the suspects approaching in a strange movements as if they wanted to eat something too.

One week after the lady and the suspected generation of navy personnel and some civilians believed to have been abducted on Kachia road last Saturday, by bandits are still missing as families who have been expecting them home are all devastated.

The police lady who escaped being kidnapped told our source that the navy personnel who were in a celebration mood had moved to the same eatery a bit close to their base to celebrate.

“it was at that time the bandits appeared from no where and surrounded the popular joint and rounded all the occupants of the eatery including the guys believed to have been navy personnel.

” I had to run away from the scene if not I would have been abducted by bandits who went away with all of them into the bush” said the police woman.

Attempts to reach Mohammed Jalige, the spokesman of the Kaduna state police command to get updates on the action was futile as his phone was not reachable
