Tinubu Awards Super Falcons 3-Bedroom Flats, $100,000 Cash Prizes, and OON Honours

The President also revealed that the 11-man technical team supporting the Super Falcons will receive $50,000 (around ₦75.6 million) each in cash awards as a token of appreciation for their contributions.

In a bid to recognize and reward the outstanding achievements of Nigeria’s women’s national football team, triumphant Super Falcons, following their landmark victory on Saturday in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final held in Rabat, Morocco, President Bola Tinubu announced generous.

At a ceremonial reception held in the Presidential Villa at nation’s capital, the president declared that each member of the Super Falcons will receive a three-bedroom flat located in the renewed Hope Estate. In addition, every player is to be awarded $100,000 (approximately ₦153 million) in cash, accompanied by the prestigious Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) honour.

The President also revealed that the 11-man technical team supporting the Super Falcons will receive $50,000 (around ₦75.6 million) each in cash awards as a token of appreciation for their contributions.

Further support came from the Nigeria Governors Forum, which announced a separate reward of ₦10 million for each of the players.
