Tinubu Forwards Names of Service Chiefs to Senate for Confirmation

He conveyed his request in a letter to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

President Bola Tinubu has sent the names of newly-appointed service chiefs to the Senate for confirmation.
He conveyed his request in a letter to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
The names forwarded are Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Waheedi Shaibu; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke; and Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General Emmanuel Undiendeye.
Presiding over plenary on Tuesday, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, read the letter to lawmakers on the floor in Abuja.
The letter was referred to the Committee of the Whole for commencement of screening next week.
