Tinubu to Address Nigerians on 65th Independence Day

President Bola Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast on Wednesday, October 1, to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the broadcast will go live at 7 a.m.

The statement is titled, “2025 Independence Anniversary: President Tinubu Addresses The Nation.”

The statement added, “All television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are urged to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.”

Independence Day speeches have traditionally provided Nigerian presidents with an opportunity to review the state of the nation, highlight achievements, outline policy directions, and reassure citizens of the government’s commitment to national unity.
