Cristiano Ronaldo has set another record after producing a sublime performance during Portugal’s 5-1 win over Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Friday.
Ronaldo currently has the most wins in international football (132).
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star scored twice and assisted once as Portugal easily defeated Poland to advance to the Nations League quarterfinals.
AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Chelsea’s Pedro Neto, and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes also scored for the Selecao.
Ronaldo played in his 215th game for his national team and scored his 134th and 135th international goals, bringing his career total to 910.
The win over Poland also means that Ronaldo has now won 132 matches with the Portugal national team, making him the player with the most wins in men’s international football.
Sergio Ramos, Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, held the previous record with 131 victories in international tournaments with Spain’s national team.
Iker Casillas, another former Los Blancos hero, is third on the list, having won 121 games with La Roja.
