Update on Speed Darlington: He was Arrested in Lagos, Detained in Abuja over Burna Boy’s Petition, Deji Adeyanju Says

Video: Moment Speed Darlington was Arrested, Led Away in Handcuffs

Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has given an update on the arrest and detention of singer, Speed Darlington.

In a post shared on his X handle, Adeyanju revealed that Speed Darlington was arrested in Lagos last Friday, October 4 and whisked to Abuja by the police following a petition from Burna Boy.

“We just spent the last 30mins with Speed Darlington and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos Friday last week, moved around and eventually brought to Abuja and has been in detention since then. Petition against him was written by Burna Boy we can confirm.”

He was arrested in Lagos and taken to Abuja over Burna Boy.

In the video, Speed Darlington said Burna Boy gained publicity in the US and was even nominated for a Grammy after he became close to embattled singer Diddy. He went on to ask if Burna Boy’s bum was greased with oil after he became close to Diddy.
