The United States Ambassador to Nigeria James Entwistle has donated a High tech Bomb disposal robots and equipment to the Nigeria Police Force. The America envoy presents the equipment during a courtesy visit on the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
According to a press statement by Frank Mba Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters Abuja, the America Ambassador also reassured the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) that his country will continue to render relevant supports to the Force in the areas of training and security cooperation.
The Ambassador also congratulates the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) on his new appointment as the Police Boss and thanked the Nigeria Police Force for its high level of co-operation and huge partnership with the US Embassy in Nigeria.
The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) appreciated the Ambassador and thanked the US government for assisting the Nigeria Police Force in areas of investigation, management of scene of crime as well as position of equipment.
He described the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) executed by the Nigeria Police Force and the US government recently as a huge partnership that will improve and modernize Police training in Nigeria.
The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) restated his commitment to continue to drive reforms and transformation of the Force in order to reposition the Force for better service delivery and promised that the newly donated equipment would be put to effective use.
