Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is heading to Kebbi State from Sokoto ahead of Thursday’s African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential campaign rally.
Atiku’s movement comes hours after a Federal High Court in Abuja nullified the processes that led to his emergence as the ADC presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
A video shared on X by Rashee showed the former Vice President travelling from Sokoto to Kebbi for the campaign rally.
Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had on Thursday nullified the emergence of Atiku as the party’s presidential candidate.
The judge also nullified the emergence of former Senate President David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola and others as national officers of the party.
Justice Lifu upheld the suit filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe, a Deputy National Chairman of the ADC, who challenged the processes through which Mark and Aregbesola emerged as leaders of the party.
The court further nullified all actions taken by the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC and cancelled the nominations of all candidates presented by the party for the 2027 general elections.
