A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has reacted to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose asking the party to field Peter Obi as its presidential candidate come 2027.

In a post on his verified X handle on Monday, Momodu likened the call by Fayose to an outsider weeping louder than the bereaved.

Fayose had said the ADC’s case would be worse if it fails to make Obi its presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Reacting, the publisher of the Ovation Magazine said, “As a matter of fact, I was really surprised to see my brother, former Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, begging the ADC to field former Governor Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in 2027.
