Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have wrapped up a four-day strategy meeting as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting was organised by former governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at his home in Kano. It brought together party leaders from all 44 local government areas.

The final session involved stakeholders from the Kano North Senatorial District, including local government chairmen, caucus members and other key party representatives.

Ganduje said the long consultations were meant to build unity and rebuild trust within the party as preparations for 2027 intensify.

He explained, “The purpose of this meeting over the last three days has been to ensure complete unity in our party from top to bottom and to reaffirm our solidarity with the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

According to him, delegates and executives showed strong commitment to keeping the APC dominant in Kano and across Nigeria.

Ganduje also said leaders from all 44 local governments had asked for permission to begin public endorsements of President Tinubu as the APC’s only presidential candidate for 2027. He said, “We have resolved that all local governments in the state should gather their party officials, stakeholders and supporters to make a public pronouncement endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our sole candidate for 2027.”

He directed that APC offices across all LGAs and wards should be reopened and fully active to improve mobilisation at the grassroots.

Ganduje added that the party would soon engage ICT personnel ahead of the APC’s digital registration exercise.

He reminded them that Kano had once recorded the highest number of APC members in the country.

He said, “Each local government is to provide three computer experts who will be trained at the state headquarters and deployed for the e-registration exercise. We assure you that, once again, Kano will produce the highest number of registered party members.”

He also encouraged officials to step up mobilisation for the ongoing voter registration by INEC, urging eligible citizens, especially new voters, to register before the elections.
