A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Aisha Yesufu, has warned the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, not to deputise any presidential candidate in the 2027 election.
In a video currently circulating on social media, Aisha, a prominent socio-political activist, vowed to work against any presidential ticket that includes Obi as vice.
According to her, the former Anambra State governor is the best among the aspirants and should be given the presidential ticket.
She said, “I’m giving you people my word. If Peter Obi emerges as a running mate to anyone, I will work against that ticket.
“In my little capacity, I will work against them even if I don’t support any other candidates. Why are we always asking the best to be the second?”
