2027: You Are Our Choice, Go Deltans Youth Movement Tells Tinubu, Oborevwori, Others

The Go Deltans Youth Movement, Sunday, Endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in the 2027 general elections, citing their leadership and commitment to development.

The group also endorsed Senator Ede Dafinone for Delta Central Senatorial District, Hon. Ramson Onoyake for Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, and Hon. James Augoye for Okpe State Constituency.

The endorsements were announced on Sunday at Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, during a gathering at which members expressed support for continuity in governance at the federal and state levels.

In its joint declaration titled, “Renewed Hope for Nigeria, MORE Agenda for Delta State,” the movement pledged its commitment to the re-election of the political leaders, declaring its readiness to mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking at the event, the group’s leader, Comrade Matthew Amerika, said the endorsement was in appreciation of what he described as the achievements of the Oborevwori administration across the state.

Amerika said the governor had continued to implement his administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, adding that the movement was determined to support his re-election in 2027.

“We are here to appreciate the good work of the governor and the implementation of the M.O.R.E. Agenda. We are here to declare our full support for him come 2027,” he said.

The youth leader commended the state government for its investments in infrastructure, particularly the construction of roads, bridges and flyovers across different parts of Delta State.

He cited projects at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout and Enerhen Junction in the Warri axis, as well as the Otovwodo Junction flyover in Ughelli and the Uromi Junction project in Agbor, among others.

Amerika also praised the governor’s interventions in education and employment generation, saying the administration had created opportunities for young people and carried different segments of society along in its development programmes.

He described Oborevwori as a governor whose policies and projects had benefited people across the state, irrespective of age or social background.

Also speaking, a professional carpenter, Mr Godwin Idama, commended the governor for what he described as the employment opportunities created through the administration’s numerous construction projects.

Idama said the ongoing infrastructure development had provided jobs for artisans and other skilled workers, including carpenters, while enabling them to earn a living through their trades.

He noted that construction activities across the state had opened up opportunities for workers who might otherwise have struggled to secure employment, stressing the importance of sustained investment in public infrastructure.

The group said it would continue to mobilise young people and other supporters in its bid to secure victory for the endorsed candidates in the 2027 general elections.
