Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has called out a Moroccan Airline, Royal Air Maroc, over the alleged ill-treatment of Nigerians in Morocco.

The Minister explained that the flight had taken off from Casablanca and was headed for Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, but had to make an emergency landing in Marrakesh, Morocco, for some technical reason.

The Minister’s anger was that when this happened, the Airline abandoned their passengers who were mostly Nigerians, without food and shelter, with some of them, including women and children, sleeping on the floor.

“I have just been informed of the inhuman treatment some Nigerians have been subjected to by ROYAL AIR MAROC @RAM_Maroc in Marrakesh, Morocco,” he wrote on his official X handle.
