Okpebholo Raises Minimum Wage for Edo Workers from N70K to N75K

 

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo state has approved a new minimum wage of ₦75,000 for workers in Edo State.

The governor announced this today at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City during the celebration of this year’s Workers’ Day.

Hear him, “Today, I am proud to announce that our administration has approved a new minimum wage of Seventy Five Thousand Naira (N75,000) per. It’s our way of saying thank you,” the governor said at the event.

“We believe this will make a real difference for Edo workers, and in return, we count on your renewed dedication as we build a better Edo together”.

Recall that minimum wage in Edo State was N70,000. The new increment by Governor Okpebholo was to address the rising cost of living and economic challenges faced by workers in the state.
