Sanwo-Olu Announces 50% Reduction on Train Fare for Lagosians

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a 50 per cent train transportation fare reduction for Lagosians.

The discount is for Thursday, 4th, 2025.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday through his X account.

He said the discount is to mark the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line two years anniversary.

According to him, the two years of the rail service have transported five million passengers without a single accident.

“To mark this second anniversary, I am pleased to announce a 50% reduction in fares on the Blue Line for tomorrow, Thursday, September 4, 2025. If you have not yet experienced the Blue Line, I encourage you to take a ride and see what we have built together.”

Recall that the Lagos Blue Line train service started on September 4, 2023.
